The collection of works and documents of Francisco de Goya in the Museo del Prado make it the principal point of reference to study the artist. With more than 1,000 artworks, including paintings, drawings and prints, the museum holds more than half the production of Goya and many of his most famous works. We must also add a significant number of documents, among them 118 letters written to his friend Martin Zapater, priceless testimony to understand the personality of Goya.
